Shift

From PopEthos.Net

at February 02, 2008 01:13 PM

Shift is an interesting new take on the classic puzzle platformer. With a solid game engine and slick graphics, combined with some great music, it has a great detective feel. The puzzles are fairly challenging, too.

Army of Destruction: Survival

From PopEthos.Net

at January 31, 2008 08:38 PM

An army has come from outer space to destroy mankind, and you are the only hope left!

Okay, the story has been used before (hey, I've used it myself...), but the gameplay is great! It's a classic defense shooter with really polished graphics and some good strategy elements mixed it.

Hero Interactive Forums are Up!

From Hero Interactive

by Jared on January 31, 2008 05:44 PM

Yup, I did it. I made the forums.

http://forum.herointeractive.com

I’ll be adding links and stuff all over the site linking to them at some point today. Also, as I just installed the forums and am new to the phpbb, don’t be surprised if we run into a few little hiccups as we get going. I’ll be fixing stuff as we go along though.

So get on there, get posting, get friends to get posting, and we’ll all have a fun time. In a month or two I’ll be looking for some moderators, so the most active users will likely get first consideration!

SW Challenge Missions - Give Us Your Ideas!

From Hero Interactive

by Jared on January 30, 2008 03:39 PM

Well, it looks like our 3rd update will be pushed back to next week, they take so much time to make and I’ll never get much work done if I keep making them endlessly.

However, more updates ARE on their way and I’d like to see what ideas you all have for new Challenge Missions!  Have some ideas? Send them our way by posting them here!  This is your chance to get some ideas in the game!

Rules for missions:

* Assume you have only the existing enemies and turrets to work with.  If your idea requires a new turret, it’s unlikely to be made.

* You can include extra content material, but then that challenge mission would clearly only be for extra content purchasers.  That’s ok because we need both extra and unlocked challenge missions.

* Any background set that currently exists is possible, with the above item still applying.

* Challenge missions don’t need to be just one level long. They can be more.

* I can place down turrets at the beginning of the level so they are free, I can also start them off with upgrades.  So you could say, start me with a heavy cannon at slot 1 with 5 damage upgrades.

* I can also choose how much upgrade points each gun starts with when you purchase it, as well as your starting money.

* I can not change enemy unit stats.

I think that’s the most of it!  What can you come up with?

Flash ? Nah, we're a Wii blog now

From Gaming Your Way

by Squize on January 30, 2008 02:23 PM

Whilst we've been talking about tinkering with Flash on the Wii this month, we've got this handy link that Amy kindly sent us to pimp here, and we appreciate the art of pimping, so here it is

how-to-homebrew-wii-games-73-tips-tutorials-and-resources

A really excellent list of links which should be a good starting point for anyone wanting to look into the subject more.

I promise we'll be back to normal service soon, it's just that things are waiting for sign off behind the scenes so we're like a swan, serene on the surface but hidden away it's a flurry of activity.
One way or another, there will be at least one new game posted here before the 14th of Feb ( Guess what the theme of that will be ).

Elements Game Demo

From jmtb02 Studios

at January 30, 2008 02:02 AM

Finally rehashing the older, incomplete game of elements, this new title comes to life with a whole new set of features and gameplay challenges. Manipulate the levels by rotation, scaling, and even drawing to maneuver your ball across the playing field. Sorry the video is a bit grainy!

So when is it out? Should be out fairly soon, in the realm of being completed this week... to be released, well, I am not sure of that yet. I like to sit on the game a few days to make sure it is happy and fun.

Flash Element TD 2 Launches

From MochiLand

by Ada Chen on January 29, 2008 02:01 AM

Congratulations to David Scott who recently unleashed Flash Element TD 2 (FETD2) onto the world. Doubtless, Paul & David at Novel Concepts are fueling hours of distraction for millions of people. They are the creators of Desktop Tower Defense and the original Flash Element TD, and were also judges for our November MochiAds contest. =)

fetd2

FETD2 was launched was launched on January 12, and reached half a million plays as of the 4th day, 1 million on the 10th… and still counting. They cover some of the phenomenal performance of their game and other interesting data in their blog entry.

Stunt Pilot

From PopEthos.Net

at January 28, 2008 08:14 PM

With sleek graphics and a nice physics engine, this game is pretty fun. The quirks make it worth the play though; when the plane crashes, the pilot parachutes out, and an aileron roll signals a victory when moving on to the next level.
